ABA Therapy in Oklahoma City

Helping kids connect, play, and grow

Every child deserves the chance to communicate, connect, and grow with confidence. At Speech Pathway, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) provide individualized ABA therapy for children from birth to age 21, right alongside our speech and occupational therapy teams.

What is ABA therapy?

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. In plain terms, it is a way of teaching that breaks big skills into small, manageable steps and celebrates progress along the way.

ABA therapy uses positive reinforcement. That means we notice and reward the skills your child is working on, so your child is more likely to use them again. Every program is individualized. Your child’s BCBA builds goals around your child’s strengths, needs, and what matters most to your family.

If your child has an autism diagnosis and you are looking for autism therapy for kids in the OKC area, ABA may be a good fit. We are happy to talk through your questions.

How to get started with ABA

Our evaluation process helps us understand your child’s strengths and needs so we can build the right plan together.

Before you begin: To start ABA, your child needs a psychological evaluation from the last 3 years that includes an autism diagnosis.

  1. Complete our intake form

Visit our Get Started page and fill out the intake form. Have photos of the front and back of your insurance cards ready. Questions along the way? Call our front desk at 405-603-6622.

  2. Parent Interview

You’ll meet in person with one of our BCBAs to talk about your child and share your questions, concerns, and goals.

  3. Direct Evaluation with your child

Your child has a separate in-person visit with the BCBA. The evaluation includes one or more ABA assessments selected to evaluate your child across ABA treatment domains, such as communication, daily living skills, and social skills.

  4. Evaluation Report and Treatment Plan

After the evaluation, your BCBA writes a report and an individualized treatment plan for your child.

“When my child first started going for speech therapy he was unable to verbally express his wants and needs. He’s now receiving both speech and ABA services and his communication skills have improved drastically… If you are second guessing on ABA services or any other services they offer I’m here to tell you just take the leap. You will not regret it.”

“Speech Pathway has provided a breath of fresh air for my family. Anyone struggling to find ‘just the right place’ for their child’s needs is very very hard, if not, down right impossible. The compassion, understanding, and dedication given by all especially: Whitney- RBT, Lauren - BCBA, and Michael- SLP are unparalleled!!!”
