Frequently Asked Questions
How do we get started?
Call us at (405) 603-6622 or fill out our online intake form. You can upload past evaluations, IEPs and other reports right on the form.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
For insurance, a referral comes from your child's primary care doctor. You can sign the medical release on our intake form so we can request it, or ask your doctor's office to send it to us. Self-pay families don't need a referral.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We check your child's eligibility and send you a good-faith estimate of your expected out-of-pocket costs. We also suggest calling your insurance company to confirm what your plan covers. Self-pay rates are listed on our Rates & Payments page.
What ages do you see?
We see children from birth to 18 years old.
What services do you offer?
Speech therapy, feeding therapy, occupational therapy (OT) and ABA therapy. Any family can join the waitlist for any service. You don't need to be a current patient.
What happens at the evaluation, and how long is it?
Evaluations are play-based, and we have plenty of toys at the clinic. Speech evaluations take 1.5 to 2 hours and OT evaluations about 1 hour. ABA evaluations happen in steps: a parent interview (1 to 2 hours), then one-on-one time with your child (1 to 3 hours). Then we write the report, which we aim to finish within 10 days.
What should we bring?
Glasses, hearing aids, an AAC device, or anything else that helps your child communicate. A comfort item is welcome too. For feeding evaluations, bring one food your child likes and one your family eats that you'd like your child to try.
When will we get the results?
After the evaluation, your clinician writes a report and, if therapy is recommended, we request approval from your insurance. This usually takes 1 to 4 weeks, but it depends on the insurance company, so timing can vary. Then your clinician meets with you to go over the results and plan, often right before the first session. You'll get a copy on paper or by email.
How long are sessions, and how long will my child need therapy?
Sessions are 25 to 50 minutes, usually once a week. Every child is different, so we check progress every 3 to 6 months and talk with you about next steps along the way.
How can I help my child at home?
Parents are a big part of therapy. Your clinician will check in with you at each session and share simple activities to practice at home, since the real work continues between visits.
Do you come to our home, daycare or school?
In-person therapy happens at our clinic. If you need services somewhere else, we're happy to refer you.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes. Teletherapy is available for some services, depending on what your insurance allows. Call us at (405) 603-6622 and we'll check your coverage.
Where are you, and when are you open?
8007 NW 122nd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73142. Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 7 PM.
