Patient Spotlight
We have so many patients at Speech Pathway who have long journeys that require incredibly hard work from their entire family and we want to start recognizing them for the effort they put in daily! Each month we’ll be highlighting up to 5 patients who have shown so much improvement throughout their marathon in speech therapy. See our amazing August patients below!
Tei N.
Tei is a fun-loving six year old who has been attending therapy at Speech Pathway for four years! He’s come such a long way since we met him and is able to say his name, his sister’s name, and self-correct his speech sounds. Tei is extremely loving and has a heart for others. He has seen multiple therapists during his time at Speech Pathway, including Miss Maddie and Miss Stephanie. Miss Stephanie loves seeing Tei because he is so caring and energetic. “Each session is so fun with Tei!” Miss Maddie loves the enthusiasm he brings to each session and the jokes he tells! We love having you with us, Tei! Way to go on all of your successes!
Jake H.
Jake is a sweet seven year old who started at Speech Pathway when he was only three years old! He’s done an incredible job over the past four years and we couldn’t be prouder of all of his success. Jake does a much better job slowing down to communicate and using the tools his clinician has taught him to tell all of his amazing stories. Miss Amy loves seeing Jake each week. “Jake is the coolest kid! He is smart, funny, and has always had the best imagination. Even at age 3, he would create the coolest stories and setups for his superheroes that he would play with during therapy. Jake has come such a long way during his time in therapy. He started out his journey learning to just say /h/ so he could say “hi,”and now he’s working towards learning his last couple of sounds so that he can graduate! Jake’s parents have been involved in his therapy since day one and the three of them have worked so hard to improve his communication skills. Jake has a lot to say – he’s the best story-teller, baseball player, and jokester. He’s ornery, sweet as pie, and has the best smile when he realizes he met a goal or said something new for the first time. I am so incredibly proud of Jake and I know he’s going to change the world!” You’re amazing, Jake!
Emaleigh B.
Emaleigh is a loving seven year old who has spent three years in therapy. She’s learned to communicate more clearly, articulate words, self-correct, and enunciate. We’ve loved seeing Emaleigh’s creativity throughout her time with us! She’s energetic, loving, compassionate and kind and loves working to improve herself. Emaleigh has seen a few different therapists in her time at Speech Pathway, but has spent the most time with Miss Katie and Miss Maddie. Miss Katie loves sessions with Emaleigh because she has such amazing creativity and Miss Maddie loves listening to her jokes and silly sentences! We love seeing your smiling face on the screen or in the clinic, Emaleigh! Keep being amazing!
Spotlight on: Camp Communicate, Kid Connection
Kid Connection was a BLAST this summer! We welcomed over FIFTY campers and seven special guests to our summer camp with supports! From learning about creepy, crawly creatures to spending our days in the sun, soaking up summer fun, we loved seeing so many smiling faces! Kid Connection offers a safe space for families to trust an individual with their child, whether or not they need support during camp. The fun days filled with water games and activities are for everyone ages 5 and up. Didn’t get the chance to check it out this summer? Mark your calendars for next year when we’ll be back with even better theme weeks!
Welcome, Baby Ray!
Mr. Michael and his wife, Maddi, welcomed Ray Ward Humphries into the world on August 8, 2022, at 22.5 inches and 8 pounds, 8 ounces! Maddi and sweet Ray are both doing well and Mr. Michael is keeping busy as a dad of two incredible little boys!

Therapy Tip
As school kicks off, did you know that your child can receive BOTH private speech therapy services AND school speech services? It’s true! If your child qualifies for speech services in the school, they can be placed on an Individualized Education Plan and gain access to FREE speech services. Check out the information on our website about an IEP and ask your clinician for more information!
GROUPS ARE BACK!
Group registration is LIVE for the 2022-2023 school year and we’re excited to have multiple options available for each age group! Groups are perfect for any kiddo and are run by trained professionals in the areas of behavior and communication to assist in social interaction at age-appropriate levels. Our groups range from preschool (3.5-6 years old), to intermediate (7-12 years old), to adolescent (13+ years old). Check out our website for days, times, and pricing information! You do not have to be a patient at Speech Pathway to enjoy the benefits of groups! Come join us!
